Businesses today are inundated with companies cold calling and telling you that they can do this that and the other and are the best in the world. Very rarely will I take a call from a company that has just appeared out of know where. I always like to do my due diligence and make sure that are what we as business are looking for.
Not today! Ad Valorem called and explained that they are a firm of accountants recommended by our accounts that specialised in research and development claims. At first I didn’t think we fitted there criteria. They asked for a face to face meeting which I agreed to as it was a no fee no win situation so I had nothing to loose.
On arrival there representative Luke instantly made me feel at ease and we hit it off straight away. Being in sales myself you instantly get a vibe from people you want to business with. We got talking and realised that we did actually fit the criteria for a claim. After all these years developing specialists clothing I never actually gave myself any credit. These guys at Ad Valorem highlighted the area of research and development within our company and we agreed to move on to the next stage.
A video conference call was set up with a member of there team. We chatted for about 45 mins to and hour going over all the areas we had developed. When you actually take time to stop and think about what you do in your business to make it a success it is quite amazing. We just do it because we love what we do and want to be a success, these amazing people at Ad Valorem just helped me highlight it and claim a credit back from HMRC for all our hard work.
The process was so easy and the team are probably the most professional I have ever delt with. Their attention to detail was second to none. I have already recommended them to other people I know in the trade and there claims are going through. The people I recommended them to had already tried to claim before but the people they were dealing with made it very difficult and over complicated so they never perused it.
